Moshe RozdzialDirector of the Denver Recovery Resource Center, Moshe M. Rozdzial earned his Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in Greeley, Colorado. He also completed UNC's program in Marriage and Family Therapy. As he earned my Master's, he worked in elementary and middle schools as a school based counselor.

After he received my credential, Moshe worked with MDS Counseling Center for five years and then started his own private practice. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado (Lic # 3569), a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), and an ARISE interventionist and trainer.

He currently holds certification in three treatment modalities, 1) Sex Therapy, a professional and ethical treatment approach to problems of sexuality and sexual function and expression, 2) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment method for a wide range of issues related to upsetting past events and present life conditions, and 3) the ARISE (A Relational Intervention Sequence for Engagement) model of invitational addictions intervention, respectful, family oriented approach for getting resistant addicted persons into treatment and healing the family system. Moshe is also a diversity trainer, leading talks and workshops on issues of gender, sexuality, and multiculturalism. He is also a clinical trainer on men's issues and the psychology of men.

Moshe's psychotherapy practice is dedicated to liberation: helping individuals, couples, and families overcome sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, shame, addiction, grief, and loss that originate from challenging core beliefs, wounds, role expectations, and family dynamics. As a certified sex therapist he specializes in treatment related to gender, sexuality, sexual orientation and expression.

As a Level II trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, Moshe also specializes in working with clients with a history of abuse, trauma, addiction, and violence. This includes working with clients with a history of childhood abuse and current trauma, including within relationship. With special attention to systemic and multi-cultural perspectives, he works with persons of various ethnic, racial and gender/sexual identities. Moshe believes in and supports the power of personal growth, relationships, and life transitions. He believes that the therapeutic relationship is a sacred space from which healing and creativity may emerge and is therefore committed to work that is life enhancing through personal insight and empowerment.
